AR Advice

DPMS is a good mid-level brand. I've owned a few in the past. Never had any issue with them. Good luck finding them at WalMart though...they've reportedly removed them from their shelves, along with Academy and Dicks.
Who reported Walmart had removed ARs, some internet know it all? This is simply not true. Walmart still sells ARs, they just don't last long when they get them in, Academy hasn't stopped selling Ars either, dicks is the only offender at this time. Don't believe and repeat everything you see on the net , verify! Bon Jour!

Well I got it picked up today guys, I'd like to say it's a nice rifle. But the truth is I don't really know that much about them. Can anyone point me in the right direction on accessorizing? Will regular weaver style scope rings mount on the picatinny rail? I guess I need a sling for it as well, but there's only one sling mount on the collapsible stock. I also need a resource for disassembly to clean it, is there a website anywhere on the net that breaks it down for you?

Pictures! I always go to youtube to find cleaning vids, etc... should be able to find what you want. If you ended up with an AR or AK, it's pretty simple (luckily).

Here's a picture from the guy I bought it from, let me know what you think.

I'm not familiar with Sky Gun but it looks like an AR :) Let us know how it shots! BTW, I really like the Magpul MOE hardware, cheap, lightweight and easy to find.

Here is my DTI AR15

Thats the thing, his build quality and quality control on completed rifles is not the best.

ba, I assume this guy buys the parts from one of the standard suppliers... it would probably be easy to see if things be refitted correctly, etc? Might be a good learning experience for a new AR owner? I would give it a good cleaning, lube it, play with it to get familiar with the controls, etc and shoot the thing. Crappy work should be evidence at the range, I assume :)
