Just when I thought I was done building ARs.

But $365 just for the upper, ouch. Surely we can find an alternative mfg to make a batch for ODT..

This is/was one of those products where the ATF initially said okay to sell over the counter and then changed their minds and slapped NFA regs on it. I don't know if they have since changed their minds again or not. But it's just a novelty toy like a potato launcher. Making it subject to NFA would kill damn near all it's appeal.

Talk about a home defense weapon. That would hurt like hell to get shot with

The new one is OK since the barrel is partly plugged and shooting anything but blanks in it will cause it to explode.
