AR trigger--best bang for the buck? Any suggestions?

If you like Single stage like I do in a combat style AR, get you a ALG trigger and add some JP springs!

Two stage, I love a Geissele G2S especially when they go on sale on the holidays.

I got a BRO DIT for $100 which is nice (if you can still find it). Outside of that, the 2-stage from RRA. That was going to be what I was going to use if I hadn't scored the BRO.

If you use good ammo all the time the JP enterprises Adj. trigger with reduced power springs is a good option. They run about 110-120 bucks. It takes a little finesse to get it just right but when you do they are a damn fine trigger. Real light and you can set it up to your liking. Much cheaper than a drop in trigger. The only draw back is you may have a problem with cheap overseas ammo. Their primers are extremely hard and that might present a problem with ignition due to the reduced power springs. I don't mess with that junk anyway so these triggers are fine for me. I just target shoot so I use premium ammo if I am not using my own hand loads.

They had one a few months ago with a pretty decent sale (like 18% off and free shipping). I ordered a bunch of stuff to complete a build for less than one part would have been on a normal retail site.

I got a new AR recently that had the ALG trigger in it. very nice. But I had ordered it with an SD-E so they sent me the SD-E. Now I have to replace a bunch of my AR triggers coz once you try a really good trigger, all of your others ones feel like crap. :(

another favorite is my LMT 2 stage trigger. nice feel but really on a different plane than geiselle IMHO.

I have tried the CMC triggers and for the money and performance that might be the best bang for the buck...
