I have recently been looking around into getting an Arsenal AK74 and wanted to gauge what other people's experiences have been. I haven't had the opportunity to fire a 5.45 but I have shot 7.62 arsenals. So is it worth it? And if anyone has one they wish to show off feel free to post pictures.

AKs are over priced right now. So I would have to say it’s not worth ANY extra. Much less the price for a standard one.
I'd agree with this ^, i had a couple arsenals and while they were nice they honestly werent that much nicer than an romanian or yugo. I liked mien because it was an acutal Russian AK but beyond that there no real reason to get one

Y'all are right they are running a little high right now but I'm still interested to hear what everyone preferred 7.62 or 5.45
I had a 21. As for 7.62 vs 5.45 they are both great round. i look at them mainly with the same trade off's of 5.56 vs 7.62x39. To me 5.45 just doesnt give any real advantages over the 5.56 so i normally dont think about it, used to be the cost was the value and you used to be able to get the ammo for next to nothing but those days are long gone
i think he's looking at 5.45 over 7.62 but op if you are open to 7.62 then this^^^ all damn day long. Ak's are overvalued right now where as these are undervalued right now and cheaper than they have ever been
as an owner and user of many many many ak47s and ak74s over 24-25years, i can share my valuable opinion on these:
as good as any other, cause it's such and such.
(no, of course not, that would be a stupid 'i don't want to piss off any fans of particular makes and models' claim and not an opinion)
in reality:
arsenal bulgarian are good, arsenal russia (saiga) are better.
bulgarian arsenals are still below veprs and saigas and full mil romanian models in terms of reliability but maybe not aesthetics (which some mislabel as "better" but that only means better "looking" so depends on what you're after)

I love the 5.45 round. Recoil is nothing on it. Magpul just started making 74 mags not too long ago, so you can now get decent mags that don’t cost a **** load.
