Assault weapons ban question.

My question is.... why people here are worried about this supposed assault weapons ban? Where's your super 2nd Amendment spirit and support? Do we need to ask permission to the government to be free? I mean it's like people here they put in their profile "NRA member, instructor, the government can go and suck a fat one, come and take them, etc" and blablabla and when those crooks in Washington say something everyone crap their pants and everything it's just words I mean heck.... it's like other people they told you "well I need to have the box where it says the lower is a pistol lower or that is marked as other because THE MAN can go to my house and ask about it" but they call themselves they are experts in AR'S or AK'S and before say all the crap they say about the man, they say, well, your gun is this and this because looks like that..... My God it's so funny everything is words and a bunch of haystack isn't Georgia a 2nd Amendment sanctuary? If they passed laws during Trump period saying that the illegal immigrants can have sanctuary in their cities and states why do we have to worry about this? The Constitution is clear "Shall not be infringed". If you are so scared about Biden coming for your guns just put them upstairs the Ba$+ard can't go upstairs.
Not really too concerned. I don't think it will pass but then again a lot has happened in the last year or so that is kind of hard to believe.

Well probably not you but a bunch of so called 2nd Amendment supporters here are crapping their pants because some idiot in the White House that we elected (supposedly)is calling Both Chambers in the Congress to make an Assault Weapons ban or there's a rumor saying he's gonna enact an executive order stripping us from our Constitutional Right.

I make a good bit of my income selling these so called assault weapons and no, I am not really concerned. I am not going to say I am not concerned at all but certainly not crapping myself about it. I will do what I can to affect the outcome and then I will deal with the results in what ever way necessary but I have never been prone to hysterics.

During the AWB of 94-04 I just sucked it up and paid more for "pre ban" guns and mags. If they become illegal to own or tranfer, I'll worry about that then. Confiscation would be another story.
Confiscation has not even been proposed so far. From what I can see in the proposed bill the only difference in it and the previous ban is that all grandfathered assault weapons would have to transfer through an FFL dealer. In other words ODT would still be able to operate about like it is now but if anyone wanted to legally sell their evil black rifle they would have to meet at an FFL to do the transfer.
The last AWB proved (to any thinking person) that bans do nothing to reduce crime but the left has never let facts get in their way. Most murders are committed with blunt objects, not firearms at all. Most that are done with firearms are done with hand guns but they never seem to be concerned about banning those. Just the scary looking black rifle. It is not about crime reduction. It is all about control.

My guess is the current owner may be allowed to keep it until his/her death, at which time it would have to be turned in for destruction.
And no provision for sale, gift, or inheritance of the weapon once law goes into effect.

makes no sense. That would be stricter that full auto and other NFA items. Not to mention, your theory would not work with gun trusts where no “person” owns the gun. And your theory is not is any of the current legislation. And I won’t even go into all the other legal theories that would likely upend that approach.

Government doesn’t deal in logic.
