We have no idea what kind of bill will be pushed, just that something will.
My guess is something that HB 127, the bill everyone was freaking out about a few months ago, will rise from the dead and sail through the House. Feinstein's bill is too namby-pamby for the gun ban industry... they smell blood in the air.
The AWB in California seems to have held up in court .
Their end goal is to stop all individual sales and have you buy and sell only through a FFL dealer. That way they have a paper trail. The FFL dealers must keep your paper work for 20 years. I think they plan to intercede in this process and document all your paperwork in a database so they always know who has the guns. Problem occurs with the guns already on the market which will be millions upon millions that are either not registered or registered so long ago they have no record of the sale of these firearms and if they have a record it will to the original owner. If these guns are sold or traded between individuals they still will have no record. May be illegal, but they are trying to make people criminals through legislation. You will definitely have to know who you are dealing with, and this is NOT what our forefathers intended. Our lawmakers are violating their own oaths of office by not following the Constitution. Therefore, we will have a tyrannical government in our midst.
Guns are no good without ammunition. I don't believe the Second Amendment mentions ammunition.
Well, the 1st Amendment doesn't mention ink/paper that the 'press' might use, but it is implied, IMO.
The problem is we ( all gun owners including myself ) are lazy! We just sit around and wait till it it too late to say let alone do anything, we should already be storming the gates!
But we won’t. We will wait and then gripe then do as our rulers want.

Hiding and "losing" our weapons is as good as turning them in. It's complacency, and it's allowing the tyrannical government to do as they please. Sadly, I don't have faith in humanity as a whole, including a good chunk of members here on the trader, to not just roll over and take their belly rubs.
