Astrophotography

What scope are you using?
Just a 5” Celestron reflector. Picked up a kit of various lenses as well to open up viewing options. It was as much as I wanted to spend for a first scope. If I lived somewhere with darker skies I would have to save up and get into photography. The whole family enjoys it.

I had to make 3-4 road trips to Charlest S.C. so I found a podcast called “pulp physics”. It was 19hrs of the history of astrology. Narrated by Harvard professor, study of the stars was the first documented intellectual pursuit. (Then female psychology) It was very very interesting, real in depth about everything, but not really over your head.
large big immense doesn’t even start to describe space.

Great photos!!! I haven't had my rig out in a few years...but here's some of the shots I've taken. Seeing your photos makes we want to dust mine off and get it outside! :)

For me, the issue was always trying to carry around my huge, heavy scope (10”), tripod, and accessories. It just got to be too much. I had too many trees in my yard to make seeing nearly impossible too. I do miss it though
