I have told everyone I know about what's going on. Hunting and fishing buddies, guys at the range (surprising how many haven't heard of it) guys at work. Maybe 100 people. If most of them tell someone, then the word spreads.

ATF being sued over approving legal machine guns

They're gonna need a heck of a lot more than 50k
They have two very good avenues of approach on the MG ban.. if it gets to the federal circuit in MS region, then it could go to the supreme court, but they would never hear it.
Yesterday I posted about this in the private help section here at ODT, seeing if we could get some sort of announcement or sticky put up to try to get the membership here engaged in the cause. I got crickets, I guess I should have *****ed about a moderator or a buggy pop up ad or something.

The battle not fought is the battle not won. You don't know what the out come will be. DC v Heller proves that we can fight and win if we try. We have to try. As for the funding, I think of all the dumb stuff I buy daily. Instead of spending that money on something stupid, I would much rather give it to someone who is willing to put them selves out there to fight for all of us.

Rome wasn't built in a day. This will be a long hard fought battle but we have to at least try to fight. The negativity posed by some of you here is pathetic. You guys need to stop trying to find reasons this won't make it and look at what this lawsuit will do. The FED often looses when cases are challenged in an actual court. Sig has taken the ATF to task over their MPX and the ATF claiming it is constructive intent. Explain to me how a set of tubes can be regulated by the ATF. It is not a firearm. It is a safety device. The ATF has taken an act and used it as it single greatest tool to restrict and deny gun owners from our God given rights.
After Newtown I saw people here with so many Mon Labe signatures, chest thumping about how the govt will have to fight if they want their guns. Yet whenever it comes time to put up or shut up these same ones are the first to bow out. Nobody here is asking you to take up guns, just open your wallets and help, or help try to get the word out to this. Make fliers and take it down to your local gun store see if they will let you put them by the registers at check out. Do something, get involved.
