Atlanta human society imports animals from other states.

Nothing to anyone personally here that works or is affiliated with them but as a hunter I loathe the HSUS! If you want to know why just google it. Their business is not just placing sweet little pups and kitties in new homes. They are about as radical as the "occupy" crowd.....

^^^This^^^ They are about as "Anti-Gun" as they come, they're behind many of the gun ban bills that hit congress every year.

Correct. They are a radical group that is using the term "humane society" to fool soccer moms into donating money.

Just to repeat, there is no relationship between any two entities that have "humane society" in their name.

You could open a sandwich shop and call it The Humane Society Sub Shop. You could even take donations from idiots.

The HSUS was taken over by Animal Rights activists. They loaded up the in house voting and then closed the door behind them. It started out as a true Humane organization, hasn't been one for decades.

Let's not let this skew your view of the Humane Society in general. There are still many that are run by principle. For example, my wife works at the Northeast Georgia Humane Society. They had to make the tough decision to split from the Hall County Animal Shelter because they had differing opinions over keeping animals vs. putting them down. Hall County puts them down. HSNEGA is a "no-kill" shelter. Now HSNEGA runs completely independently, but without county money. Let me say, that's not a decision I'd ever want to have to make.

I volunteered their during my high school years and am so happy they switched over.
