Atrium’s buying up

Atrium Health is buying up all the Hospitals and Doctor’s Offices they can . And the “Good Help” is leaving. Before throwing stones, if inclined? My back Doc of 15yrs warned me before he moved to FL and my Family Doc says he’s moving if they buy his office. I noticed certain folks get treated better than wh…. others?? Oath’s be damned , these folks are about profit and BigPharma.

When I met my Doctors they gave their spill on how they wanted to treat and afterwards , asked me if I had any questions. I asked if they felt like their practice was a “Calling” or if they did it all for the money. I’ve cancelled future appointments with 2 so far.

Some years back I almost went to work for Advent medical in Gordon County. When I turned my notice in my then employer begged me to stay, promising a lot of things they NEVER delivered on, and like an idiot I stayed. Really regretted it almost immediately. People I know who work for Advent really like it, except they don't serve meat in the lunch room. People I know who work for Atrium are not nearly as happy, several talking about how horrible their software upgrades and changes go. Tech help is a phone call and response times are very long even for basic tech issues. Some doctors have retired earlier than they planned due to stuff Atrium is putting them through.

I always try to follow the money. If a large Medical group’s owners have big investments in insurance and medical?? Big RedFlag for me , naming no name’s of course.

Atrium and other huge health providers can't buy what's not for sale. It goes both ways... A lot of the small offices are physician owned.
