I have recently come into a lot of sound equipment from my dad that I am looking into sell. There's a couple of mixing boards, couple of recorders (one is a Nagra). There is a quite a few different things. Does anybody here have any info or somewhere that they know of that the items could be sold?

Thanks for the help

I used to sell some stuff on ebay, shipping can get a bit expensive, but I would account for that in the price.....but sometimes churches, local bands and the like are looking for sound equipment as well. If you don't want to mess with ebay, you could put the word out at a few local churches and post it on craigslist

I'll put up some pics later. My biggest problem that I'm having is valuing the stuff. My brother put one up some where (I think Redit) and someone told him between $500-$5000. That's to big of a gap for me. I've got some other feeler's out just trying to find some kind of a value on these things has been difficult. I'm pretty confident that I can sell it, just don't know for how much. Don't want to get screwed nor do I want to screw anybody. I think that this will take someone with a good bit of knowledge on the equipment.

I think I can help with value if you post pics

Soundcraft is also a decent mixer, I just saw some used on eBay, asking price 600.
The biggest issue with mixers is whether all channels are working. The only way to test is to plug a mic in each channel, one at a time, plug mixer into amp and amp to speakers.
Hard cases might be worth some money to someone lugging same/similar size equipment.

The Soundcraft would be intriguing to old rockers (like me). $600 might be possible IF it were pristine and fully functional. I see a bit of foam rot that has fallen on it from the case. That foam tends to get a microscopic parasite that eats it and turns it into mush (crap) after about 10 or 15 years or so. You'll want to get that foam out of the case and away from the equipment. You can tell it's beyond its service life if you push on it and it does not return to its original position / shape.

The Nagra and Shure's look like they were from pre-digital news gathering crew. You might want to find an NAB (National Association of Broadcasters) discussion board to list those. Might be some nostalgic interest from some of the old timers. I would have no idea the value, but the Nagra wasn't cheap. Might be worth a couple hundred, or a grand . . . . .

That silver face Shure mixer is most likely a throw away. It looks like the model where Shure was using non-standard input/output connectors so you would have to buy their cables or build your own. A real piece of crap. If the inputs are MALE, it is worthless. If the inputs are FEMALE, might be worth $20 to the right individual. The others are still serviceable and might have some value to an old NAB guy.

Hope that helps.
