What does the death rattle of an auto company sound like?

I'd take a mint XJS in a heartbeat to drop a 350 cu in/Turbo 350 in it!
I've seen my share of those over the years. I completely understand the reason for the conversion but I don't agree with it. That's like buying a Road King and putting a Gold Wing drivetrain in the frame.
If you want a REAL Jag then buy one old enough that you can get the shop manual and maybe a little help and maintain it yourself. If you want a Rover skip all the bull**** made for America models and get a diesel powered Defender.

From what i understand jag is now profitable now that tata ownes them, when i was inn the car biz about 3 months ago i heard about the electric shift but did not hear about when. I can tell you the f type sports car is one of my favorites I drove the supercharged six and loved it, luxury and a ton or performance. I really want to drive the supercharged v8 I think that one will be a blast. So the news is not always correct not to say that some things have changed in three months.

Just bought a 2017 with 61000 miles. Last one before they started making their own engines. Supposedly the most reliable of the XEs. Love the car, performance and the 30 mpg.
Like anything else they have problems, maybe didn’t hide it well, most companies go out of their way to cover bad press. Then again Mercedes is probably the least reliable car I have. Really disappointed.
