The new HVAC is in the Range, not the store.

Well every other range Ive ever been to has A/C in their ranges. They dont charge 50 bucks for a transfer. You still keep avoiding my question of how is it nobody else feels the need to charge 50 dollars for a transfer. Your answer of pure stupidity just makes you look stupid.

The bottom line is I was lied to. I was quoted 25 by one of their employees. They should have honored that. A mistake was made on their part. Because of them I had to call spikes, take time outta my day to change paperwork. Had they honored their word, I would have paid my monies and just not used them after that. No hard feelings. Insted they backed out. Not cool.

eh...i still like em..I still drive from up here to go there and Ed's...they are the only 2 stores I go to even when I lived down there...better than Clyde "arm and leg" Armory

Thats because there isnt an answer besides some are greedier and shadier than others...the whole thing about charging an outrageous transfer fee for a gun they can sell to you holds no water, they are still are getting money for almost no work, even if its $5 or $30...

Speaking of shops that can get you a firearm at or close to the price you can get it for online including shipping and transfers...i've never seen that...except maybe Ed's prices....i frequent or used to frequent Classic Marksman, and had a bunch of guns transferred there...i ALWAYS came out ahead buying online, including paying their transfer fee, (i never paid for shipping on a firearm purchased online btw)..for instance, bought an excellent condition near mint Gen 3 Glock 17 from summit gun a couple years ago, $385 shipped, paid ACMs $35 fee...brought me to about $420...well i couldnt even sniff a used Glock at their shop for anything close to that, still cant...so why even bother...only reason i paid that transfer was because they were close, but once Tom told me they went up to $40 or something for non members, i took my business elsewhere.

EDIT: not to totally trash ACM, i still use their range and like the staff, and i have purchased 1 pistol directly from them, was a CZ -P-07 Duty (that i still regret selling, argh) anyway...for some reason they had it for close to what buds had it for, buds was $418 and they were $435 or something and they were running a special that august that you get either 5 range passes, a free lesson, couple boxes of ammo etc with any pistol purchase so i got it...now if shops/ranges did more stuff like that i'd probably buy more at the shop...i'm not saying they dont, im just not aware.

Yeah i dont know why thats the case, especially how you specified that they quoted you 1 thing and you got there and it was something else...

Yep. I got quoted the price of 25. Set it up through spikes. Called to double check once the order was processed and they dropped the bomb on me that it was 50 bucks. Crazy.

Im not over sensitive about anything. I like it when people disagree with me. Its just how rude some of you came across. Like I dont know how a business works. Like im stupid. Thats how some of you came across.... I understand they need to make money but the way they are doing it is not cool. I like to hear other opinons.... thats one of the reasons I posted this.

I'm with soviet. I would be pissed too if someone quoted me one thing then tried to change it later. EVEN IF Autrey's couldn't prove one way or the other what they quoted soviet, as a CUSTOMER SERVICE gesture they should have done it for $25. Isn't the customer always right?

I have no issue with profit but not at the expense of my honor or my a$$.

Now Autrey's is out not only $25 or $50 but probably more.

Read the thread and here is what I figured out.Soviet got hosed with the price change so its his God given right to be pissed and to choose not to shop there.Every one else has their opinion and thats all well and good.Never had a transfer done but I would try and deal with someone who was at least truthful and explained the increase.If I was wrong about it shame on me,if the store was wrong shame on them.Lets all be happy and get along with it.
