The hits keep on coming

going to an end of summer (goodbye tourist season) party on the beach this evening. Hoping for another sunset at least as pretty as this one.
And, moonrise is usually pretty cool, too.

That is a true fact…. there was at least one occasion I seem to recall the Shuttle not being able to use the facility because of the "mud"….

Any time between Thanksgiving and March (mostly Jan and Feb), any activity in that area is in doubt.
It's interesting driving by those dry lakes when they're "full". Looks like a lake maybe a quarter mile across. But likely only 2-3 inches deep.
