Awesome/random picture YOU have taken thread (G RATED ONLY!)

Some experimentation with firework pics on the night of July 4.

Did I use a tripod and try manual settings? Of course not! I held by hand and used the standard autofocus!

Still despite being blurry, a few actually came out somewhat decent.

Yes I'm in the water. Unfortunately this site can't handle pics higher than 12mp.

Yeah, DeerLord.

It's pretty standard on most websites. They would have to invest in server storage to handle that kind of volume of modern day camera and the amount of info in each pic file, and us members would bare the cost of that in subscription costs.

I have to use an ancient version of Photoshop (before they went entirely to the cloud) to drastically reduce size of each photo I post any any board, not just ODT. The cost of storage of each site that allows posting pics at full native size would be astronomical. I get that.

BTW, I am interested in other posters' "workflow" they go through before posting their pics to a reasonable size before posting. What editing software are you using that compresses pics and videos, but does not HUGELY compromise the quality of the pic or video?

Last few years my pics are pretty much always taken with my iPhone 8SE (not the greatest camera) and I might edit it for sharpness and exposure on my iPad before sharing…. ODT always limits the size to 1024X799 (max)…. any higher than that it says is limited to 'VIP' status only.

There's nothing better than getting paid to look out the window....
