I passed on the Yellow Morgan I posted a while back.. she's going racing in Florida with the oldest SCCA racer still licensed! I'm glad it's going to be used as intended. And for those who are looking hard, yes, that is a Chinese copy of a Russian copy of the old BMW w/sidecar amongst the Jags.

When I was in High School and started driving, one of the rich kids drove an XKE…. thought it was such a cool car and always wanted to buy one but they were always out of reach for me $$$$$$ the closest I could come was a 1976 280Z 2+2…. it had the long hood with the “hunch-back” looking rear end which was accentuated by the rear window shade…. drove that car for 23 years….

They were beautiful cars and the handling was top shelf! In fact, much better than most European sports cars at the time. I had an old 240 but got rid of it because I couldn't get rid of the gas smell coming from the lines they ran behind the b-pillar inside the hatch. Thank goodness they fixed that in the later production series.

The most I ever did with that Z was 130 mph on the interstate down south of Miami and it was just as solid at that speed as it was at 60…. used to love taking a drive in western NC…. on all those mountain roads with the hairpin turns….

There's nothing better than getting paid to look out the window....

As I said before, you did way better buying this car than that Jag.

That grey E-type Jag, though....

67 XKE's ?

67 XKE's ?
The Silver is a 64, the red E is actually a 69 Series II, and the blue is one of the last 67 series I that has the 4.2 with triple carb setup! After that they went to a dual configuration. Hopefully that helps. Also no covered headlights. They are sexy cats!

Agreed….. I’m sure the Z took far less maintenance to keep it going with the injected engine…. 'bout the only engine work was replacing the water pump, alternator, changing plugs, oil and adjusting the valve clearance…. European imports require CONSTANT "tinkering" to keep 'em running right….
