The routing from Atlanta into SE Florida comes down the west side of the peninsula and across the Everglades…. grabbed a couple pics Saturday morning….
Looking south, lower right corner is Sanibel Island with Cape Coral at bottom left…. I counted more than 30 boats in the Caloosahatchee River headed for the Gulf….
Again, looking south from over N Ft Myers area to Bonita Springs and Lehigh Acres…. in the late 1950s until the mid 80s, my dad sold (and re-sold) a lot of acreage in that area as investment property…. it was mostly vacant back then….

Of which "storm" do you ask?
If it’s the one in the pic I posted, we were probably 6-8 miles west of the rain shower nearing 20,000 in the climb.

Yeah… those out over the Gulf were probably 30 miles away…. when looking to the south, where you see the coastline curve to the east in the pics is about 35-40 miles away from where we are….
