My Mom texted me a couple weeks ago. Said she needed me to come over after work and shoot a porpoise. I was like, Mama I ain’t never seen a porpoise in the Blue Ridge mountains. She replied, you know what I’m talking about! Those nasty critters with the tail that looks like a spent corncob. I couldn’t stop laughing for an hour.
Is this a brown widow? The ones I've seen usually have a tan hourglass.

Ah. I knew I had a widow bc of the spikey egg sack. I saw it the other day but I didn't pay much attention, I used to see them all the time at work. Saw some black widows from time to time.
The brown ones usually had a tan hourglass, the orange one on my porch threw me. Honestly I find them fascinating...earlier I saw the egg sacks but not the spider. Well...wifey came running inside yelling something about a huge spider lol...
They showed up around probably 10 years ago or so. At one point they were everywhere.
Great...I just recovered from the last Brown Recluse bite I got a few weeks ago so let's just throw another venomous spider in the mix.
I hate bugs.
