Bad Crash in Kentucky

While the MD11 doesn't have a great safety history, the problems historically seem to have been unrelated to propulsion.

What I do remember reading (and can't remember the source, but I considered that it may have not been bs) is that one of the wing tanks had been replaced in September.

Thank you for your insight and explaining KTAS to me. I try and never guess until I read the report.
I have a little experience in flight Safety and have been to all of the AF schools for crash and recovery.
