Noticed they passed bating on private land in north ga.now they will be a corn pile everywhere.bucks will go nocturnal wont have to look for food.itll be at there doorstep.

I checked the DNR website last night 7/3/18 and it still has the boundry running in the original counties. Until their site says differently, no baiting on my land. Don't need the problem w/ the warden.

Just not sure baiting is a good idea. Concentrating the food source to a small area is going to cause disease to spread faster.

My buddies who hunt in southern zone say ho hum. Most but not all do it, some have killed big bucks, others have not. I doubt there will be much difference in harvest stats after this season. Texas has done it for years as have other states and their numbers maintain stability.Just a personal choice. Having not done it i am going to try it. Will post results if I remember to...Happy hunting to all.
