Ballistol

I used Ballistol for years, but this guy rates it just about last place if I remember correctly, been a few years since I watched this video.

Now I just use Break free CLP

Ballistol (and for that matter, Hoppes #9) are cleaners and light lubricants.

They're not intended to provide lubricant properties for high-heat/high-load applications that proper CLP does, and they're not designed for long-term corrosion-resistance either.

The point with CLP is that it's a convenient compromise. It's very hard to formulate an agent that is both a good lubricant AND an aggressive cleaner.

Just to product plug, if you want combined corrosion resistance and lubricant for a firearm you shoot regularly, CorrosionX or - even better - CorrosionX Aviation is hard to beat.
