Colt is now selling a barebones version of the 6920 ... basically it's the complete gun minus butt stock, hand guards, mags, rear sight/handgrip and trigger guard.
And it's priced at about $750 near me. This is brilliant considering that the 6920 upper alone goes for like $650
most places. You get the bits of the gun you want and none (well almost none) of the bits that you would throw away to replace with your own hand guards, stock, etc .... (saving the barrel nut and gas block if you're going to replace it with a FF)
