So, I bought a couple of barrels from FN. One is a 16 inch button rifled barrel with a chrome chamber. The other is a 20 inch barrel that is hammer forged and chrome lined. Neither was dimpled. That means finding someone that can do the job and do it right the first time and I'm making inquiries. I'm sure that someone local to me does it. Right?
Then comes the big question: Barrel blocks come in all kinds of flavors from el cheap o Andersons to really expensive blocks costing at the upper end of a hundred bucks. I want to be able to shoot a lot of ammo, but do I need to spend that kind of money when reliability is more important than having a minute of angle rifle built for accuracy. What kind of barrel block do I go with and why? Thanks for any input.
