Gentlemen, I have 300 Black Out barrel that needs some attention. I am looking for a barrel reamer so I can clean it up a little. The shoulder leaves scars on fired brass.
Does anyone here have one for rent, sale or borrow?
Also need a go gauge.
eBay has both but I’m looking for a better deal if possible.

The rifle belongs to a coworker. It was recently left to him from his deceased father. I’m basically doing this as a favor. Not sure what the story is or why the father never had it checked. He is working with limited funds so this looks like the cheapest option.

Post pics of the brass. May not be an issue.

Is it functioning as it should?

What is the rifle/barrel brand? If there is an issue, and it's a good company, they will likely fix/replace it for him.

You could easily overdo it with a barrel reamer if you aren’t familiar with the process and introduce other issues.

Not sure of the barrel manufacturer. The rifle is an older model Savage. Coworker said his dad wanted to try a 300 BO out a couple deer seasons ago. Not sure where he got the barrel but he is pretty sure his uncle and dad swapped it.

Just looking at the brass, that chamber is toast. It's already mis-cut and a reamer will not help you. Look how the neck is blown out in addition to that horrible imprint.

The barrel should be marked with a brand, if not, more than likely it's because nobody wanted to claim it as their product.
