Barrel threading near Dawsonville

Any competent gunsmiths/machinist around dawsonville that can thread a 7mm rem mag encore barrel for me 5/8-24 relatively quickly? Had a machinist buddy that used to do all mine but he moved to another state. Actually taught me to do it myself but his lathe went with him.

Would expect to pay normal machinist hourly rate for probably the easiest barrels to turn. 75-100$.

Used Dobbs defense several times but don’t know how to reach or if he’s even still doing it. He always charged 100$

Suwanee is not to bad. Can’t you turn a factory t/c barrel down and thread to 5/8-24? Barrel is 26” long, simple tape measure it’s I believe 7/8” thick at muzzle, will measure with caliper in the morning.

I do not normally post like this, but a couple of people had reached out to me after I had responded to akman47 post for muzzle threading on his Thompson/Center Encore 7mm Rem. Magnum. I was able to get him fixed up so I thought I would post some pictures in case anyone else was in need of this service. I had also been asked if I could do one of these barrels that is a 15” version. I am in the process of trying to make a spider chuck for my lathe that is large enough to except the short barrel. I hope to post more on this later if all works like, I hope. Double R, went above and beyond. Threading is as close to perfect as 1 could ask for. My suppressor mount threaded on and barrel remains a tach driver with suppressor mounted. Will definitely sequester Mr. Double R for any future threading and gun machinist work. Thanks again Sir and I look forward to the next time.
