Got no clue about a 30.06 but are you really going to try to put a can on it? Guess you could handload some soft rounds...

Well, feel free to stand in the 6 month wait line' pay $150 + disassemble/reassemble fee for a job that can completed in half a day.

If the threads are not cut concentric to the bore, the bullet will strike a baffle, and ruin your $1000 can. Make sure you use a reputable smith.
