sure the crime might be higher, but ****ty people exist everywhere. i just believe in keeping positive control of my firearms and leaving them in a vehicle doesnt fit that description in my opinion

Don`t have any stickers on your vehicle that would let someone think there was a gun in it.

I had never thought of that. I don't leave any weapons in the vehicle, but I didn't consider the stickers were making the truck a target. I've got a lot of stickers on the back window and never thought about it till you mentioned it. Thanks, I'll pass that one on.

I hate that its getting like that around there i am 26 and just moved away from cartersville about 6 months ago, for my whole life myself nor my parents ever locked any of our vehicles or even the house for that matter and never ever had anything stolen.

sad to say its getting like this EVERYWHERE....Alll we can do is be PREPARED!!! I KNOW I AM>>> ALWAYS!!

A friend of mine had a rock thrown through his car window a few weeks back. They got a little cash and not much else. He lives a block out of downtown and has an unassuming vehicle with no stickers of any sort. They're just playing the odds going after every car until they find something they want.
