Becoming an M&P fan??

I expect & would hope that S&W keeps improving their triggers.

As mentioned earlier I wish they would work w/ Apex & license a version of their trigger into all of their guns.
And while I'm "wishing", as unrealistic as it may be, it would be great for Glock, HK, S&W to redesign their triggers to mimic the 1911 so that it only goes straight to the rear.

The latest trigger on the M&P guns are better. The vague reset is no longer there and it is fairly short. The take up has less grit (but there is still some). The break is still a little heavy for my liking but it is very clean. If the fundamentals are there, this pistol is good out of the box.

I do agree with you though with the Apex kit. It absolutely makes the trigger about as good as you'll ever want.

My M&P Compact .22 has a decent trigger w/ a pronounced reset.
