Best Atlanta area cheese STEAK…

For me friends grill for beef and American deli has a great chicken Philly

I like multiple cheese types crispy cooked bread soft on the outside no mushrooms and when the steak is on the flat top hit it with sim aujus to keep it juicy. The trick for chicken is to shave it like the beef as far as I know the American deli are the only one that so that chunk chicken can’t be called a Philly. Either way the onions can’t be to soft and the peppers can’t be to hard!

Our local American Deli is just horrible.
I like the food brand but this place is just atrocious.

After living in Maryland and where they had Greek and Italian restaurants that made cheesesteaks so good it ruined me. I couldn't find anything close to them in Atlanta. However, Fire House Subs does make one hell of a meatball sub that equals northern style ones.

After living in five different states over the years certain foods are just a part of geography. Certain areas concentrate on some foods more intensely than the others. You would think Atlanta with a diverse population that more than Northern people would open up restaurants and make real good cheesesteaks. I never did find a good one and lived there from 1989 to 2019.

Let’s explore the possibility of doing Atl area(30 miles or so) restaurants that have the best Philly style cheesesteak sandwiches…we will make this a meet and greet get together, and judge the sandwiches…we can move on to other foods….but think about it…it’s a win win….we meet, we greet, we eat…then we vote….

Woody's on Monroe. Patrick's on Collier Road. Mad Italian (as others have already mentioned). Brooklyn Cafe in Sandy Springs (not a regular menu item but it is a daily lunch special once or twice a week).
You Philly guys may think this is crazy; the best cheese steak I have ever had was at The Pickle Barrel In Bozeman, MT.
