Best Atlanta area cheese STEAK…

The best consistent cheese steak comes from the Mad Italian. The best Cheese Steak period I have ever had came from an American Deli off Campbelton Rd, deep in the hood. The man was taking orders from behind two layers of bullet proof glass, with bars on the windows and doors and you had to be buzzed in. I would not go back there on a bet with a machine gun.....

I worked at Mad Italian in 1983. It was better then but it's still very good. If you're in the area, go by Dunwoody Chevron on the corner of Mt Vernon and Chamblee Dunwoody for "the best cheeseburger in Atlanta" or so said the article. They are very good... but maybe not quite the best.

Actually, the best cheeseburger is at the country store Mt. Paran at Northside Dr.

I’ve had cheesesteaks all over the US. From Cali to Maine.

The best cheesesteak wassssssss……. NOT in Philly! Lol

It was actually in New Jersey. ( hate that state)

They put a cheese sauce on it up there. Different but good!👍🏻

NJ is undoubtedly my least favorite place in the whole country, Hate isn't a strong enough word.
If they where going to give the US an enema that's where they'd put the tube.

Now back to the cheesesteak. On someone's recommendation I tried a place called "Touchdown Wings".
The Philly there was really good. I've tried both the steak and the chicken and wasn't disappointed in either (the wings where above average too). I've eaten there a few times since and it's all been good ( Except the Gyros...they're a little chinicy with the meat and their tzatziki sauce leaves something to be desired...mostly taste.) The fried rice has quickly become one of favorite things instead of FF's.
There are a few of them scattered around the atl area.
