Best Gun for Home Defense?

Hell I just have recordings of slides racking playing all through the house 24/7. Sold the guns years ago.

add a few gun shot sound effects on occasion and the perfect home security system you would have

SBR Saiga 12 with a 20 rd. drum.

Holy expensive. $700+$200ish (conversion)+$200 (SBS Stamp)+Smithing to shorten barrel and rework gas tube (no idea the cost there)= way more expensive than it is probably worth.

If they choose a shotty, I'd vote for something else first like a Mossberg 930.

I say this even though I own and love my Saiga.
