looking into purchasing an 18" upper for a build.. What's the lightest weight upper on the market (or at least a few of em) preferably under 800.00

What are you building for ? small paper holes? tracking threw the woods? BCM makes good light weight uppers in that range,

christiensen arms but way over that budget. 2A armament Balios upper. PWS Mk2 Mod 2. Seekins Precision. the lighter the weight the more $$$.

the big thing is going to be the barrel. that's where most of the weight of the upper is,then the rail system and then the receiver.
