Again, not trying to hijack this thread but if you’re in Jasper and want some good BBQ give Smokin’ Mo’s on Main Street a try. Great Q!

deep tooYep, the cement pond is still there. That water is cold.
Being from New Mexico I will give you bonus points for Sadie’s.
I’ve yet to find a Mexican restaurant in Georgia that I actually would consider good.
We will eat a La Parilla from time to time because my wife likes it, but I don’t consider it Mexican food. It is better than 99,9% of the places around which I consider mail order Mexican. You know, the places that all have the same menu.
Really the only place I can think of that I actually enjoy is Chuey’s and that’s only because they actually have green Chile and make their tortillas fresh. The chile isn’t all that great but at least they have it.
Go up to Summerville and try El Pueblito. Way better than anything in out area.

We stopped at a grocery store slash Mexican deli in New Mexico and it was by far the best Mexican food I've ever hadHad it. Meh. When you are born and raised in New Mexico it becomes hard to be impressed with Mexican restaurants.
Yep, the El Rio in town here has slipped in quality too. Next time you’re up this way I hope you can try Senor Fiesta. The wife and I are not huge fans of Mexican food but we both like this place.
