best pick for a lever action caliber?

Pistol caliber is the way to go for pure fun. Plus you can use it for Cowboy Action if you take the notion. Also .38 special is cheaper to reload than .44 (special or Magnum), or .45 Colt.

Come on out and watch a local match. There is one near you. Tomorrow is Conyers, Next weekend, Gainesville, first Saturday (2 weeks after Gainesville) is Riverbend Gun Club, then Toccoa.

30-30 for hunting or bush gun. Same with .44mag. .38 for plinking and just plain fun!

If it is a lever action, 22lr, 22mag, 38/357, 30-30, 44sp/44mag, 45-70. It's all good.
The old Marlin's with the JM stamp are the best.

.357/.38 would be cheaper to plink with .30-.30 is not all that expensive, but love my .444 can't beat that big bore power!

Who would be the best manufacturer of .38/.357 lever guns? I would prefer a copy of a Winchester pattern rifle. Would prefer reliability over all other factors.
