Best SKS magazine ???

Been building a parts SKS gun. It's in a Tapco stock and all that plastic stuff. Problem is I do not have a magazine. I've been looking for a factory 10 rounder because I want reliability. With no luck locating one, I'm playing with the idea of using aftermarket mags. 20 rounders. I have a lot of experience with the poly Tapco mags. They work fine but if you shoot a lot, they will start wearing out around the feed lips and tabs. No problem. They are inexpensive and can be replaced. But for this build I'd like to find a couple of reliable 20 round steel mags. Any suggestions? Rifle is a Norinco. Thanks

Sorry man, from my experience I've never had any REAL luck with anything other than the factory box mag. I've had things that "worked" but not well enough to bet my life on.

Stick with box fed mag.

I WOULD stick with the original box fed mag but I do not have one and can not locate one. The original 10 rounder is the way to go I know. But I'm stuck trying to find another reliable feed system. And I want steel not plastic.

Any suggestions?

Lots of them on ebay for $20 - $25

I have a couple of the Chinese 20 Round box magazines... Real nice but hard to find and expensive.

Never bought anything on ebay. Guess I could give it a go? Do I need to order a specific factory mag or will any factory sks mag work on my Norinco?

Any factory hinged mag should work, may hafta tweak fitment a tad. I use steel 30 rounders exclusively in the 5 between my dad and I, and I may hafta bend the catch tab on the back a little or something of that nature but that's it
