Best USA made EDC knife?

I have a couple of US made Kershaw's that handle lighter EDC tasks and then some. One being the Kershaw Zing..under $40 and is the second sharpest knife I own..will easily shave hair..

Cold Steel is the only knife I have ever owned, where the serrations broke the first time I used it to cut twine. I spoke with one of the two top dirtbags, and they rudely accused me of abusing it. (Remember: cutting twine). Took it back to Sports Authority and got a refund. If you test their knives (read: use), they will not stand behind them.

I carry either a Benchmade Stryker or CRKT M-16

Okay guys, so I'm trying to decide what knife I'd like to go with. I already intend to be purchasing a SOG Slimjim, or the XL, haven't decided on that yet, so opinions would be nice there. But i have learned that the only SOG knives made here in the US are theAegis, the trident, and the flash, all of which I don't care for.
I really like the design of the flash II however I want the knife to be black and a straight edge, and they do not make that version.

Here are my credentials:
made in the ole' USA
must be black and have a straight edge
preferably light (it is an edc)
not wanting to spend a lot on it... $75 is probably the most I'd pay.
must have a clip for my pocket
I'd like for it to be assisted open, but if it doesn't that's alright as long as it locks.

Opinions fellas?

Sounds like you want a Benchmade. The made in the USA requirement will cost you more than the $75 for a quality blade.

You get what you pay for. When I was younger, I lived on PB&J so I could buy stuff I wanted. If you want better than you can afford, you either cut corners, get a part time job, or find a better job.

I have always carried a Buck 110...have about 5 of them now. Keep one in my truck and wifes car, boat and by the bed. You cant beat a Buck. if you manage to break the blade, send it back for a free replacement. I do have 1 diff knife at my comp desk...a Camillus CQB1, my son carried it overseas and gave it to me when he came home.
No a buck is not tacticool but its a knife that will do what you need it to do. Tacticool is just for the eyes, not performance. I used my buck once to get an old man out of a burning car. Busted a window and cut seat belt with it then drug his butt out of the car.
