From what I understand, even Goodwill won't take them... Your best bet is to take it to a dump.

What model and any burn in? These are still good for old consoles as the newer panels don't work the same.

Put it next to the street with a sign that says "TV For Sale - $150".

It will be gone in the morning.

I had a buddy of mine try to give away a old TV, ( but I can't remember to who...) And they told him that they would take it, but required a $10.00 donation charge, for them to take it.

No charge to me at Goodwill. Maybe I was lucky, but I have done it more than once. If that won't work for you, take it to your closest dump. Our's charges $6.00 minimum I have also done this, and it was worth it to me.

We have a local compost and recycling center that takes them for free.
