Personally, I'd probably ask to see your DL to ensure that you're a GA resident and are old enough to take posession of the item. I might even ask for you to verbally confirm that you are legally permitted to posess the firearm in the state of GA.

Bill of sale will literally keep you out of prison. I can think of 100 times its happened but can offer no proof. It protects you.
