Black bear sighting in Braselton, Ga

I tried doing some research on this and came up with nothing. Last week I was riding my bike and came around a corner a black bear was standing about 20 feet off the road. I just kept on trucking. Anyone else heard of bears in the Jackson county area?

Yep. Seen one on the north side of winder near the Jackson county line near the mulberry river. And I've seen one in statham. Both sightings within the past 4 years. And sometime between 2-3 years ago there was one in downtown (ish) winder. In the empty/storage lot beside Akins ford/ in front the YMCA. That one you should be able to find online since it made the county paper.

There is a reason GA DNrR added barrow bounty to the bear season counties a few years ago.

It clearly states that someone gave them corn and peanuts. So much so that yogi knows to go to a certain place. Very bad idea

nowhere do I see peanuts mentioned and corn: And the only time we had a family, when we used to have a pile of corn off to the side of the house for deer. But corn is to expensive these days, was putting out a 50lb bag every day for a few years but stopped about 2 years ago

LOL Just letting people know it is against the law. I think that the bears can smoke pot legally though.
