Movie Platoon shows a guy getting beat up with soap in a sock. Saw this done to a guy in Wayne CI, Jesup before the movie ever came out, and it wasn't pretty.
Actually that was 'Full Metal Jacket' and I witnessed a blanket party during boot camp at Ft Benning in 81, definitely not pretty but definitely motivating.
