I need a Breech Bolt for a marlin 336. Bought an older marlin 30-30 a couple of years ago from a fellow ODTer and I just shot it for the first time a couple of days ago. First shot I fired the bolt would not open. I noticed the bolt was chipped at the bolt head. Not sure how or why or if it was like this before I fired it. After some manipulation of the lever I got it open and have not fired it again. But I have cycled a few rounds thru it and it sticks every time. Looked all over online and I'm coming up empty. Anyone have an idea of where to get one? Thanks for any tips or direction.

if you have screws on the receiver top ( for scope/rail) they are possibly to long and protruding into the bolt channel. start there first, you should not see any protrusion. second the ejector may have been improperly installed and is riding wrong on the bolt (should be installed while lying on its side hammer all the way back with tension from your hand slide bolt in.) depending on the damage on the bolt head if there is a bur then file it down it may be causing friction in the bolt/receiver channel. PM me for any other questions.
