Arguably, there's no better way to make it clear what caliber it uses, by having the caliber clearly marked on the barrel and/or action. All responsible manufacturers do this for you already by stamping their barrels.

And yet, people still load firearms with the wrong ammo. And no matter how much you tell them, when there's an accident like this, the manufacturer has to assume significant costs to defend themselves against legal action.

I'm not saying this with the intent to belittle or dissuade you from pursuing this career. It's to explain, in part, why starting out targeting customers who want a "cheap" semi-custom AR platform built out of "cheap" parts may not generate enough revenue to justify the risk you may be taking on.
I understand. But I'm taking the steps I can to ensure that nothing happens to my business due to possible incompetence

I am getting a LLC very very soon. And will get the other licenses as the business grows. I intend to make sure everything is above board.
I think you should get a business license from your county first. You're engaged in business without a business license from your home. Not a legal thing to do, tax evasion is not a good way to get started and business licenses are cheap. If you can't get a business license then that's gonna save you a lot of headache down the road if you actually start making money and decide to make the business legal.

But I appreciate ur feedback. In the process of making it an LLC

I'm about to get an LLC. And don't plan on doing any of the business part from home, just the building. All business matters will be done at my day job but not on residential property.
So, you work at a gun store.
You’re gonna build these at home.
You’re gonna sell them at the gun store you work for????
