I'm looking to purchase some 3 to 4 gallon square buckets for rice storage. Looking for airtight, and a lid that can be removed and replaced multiple times. There a million different ones online, so I'm looking for suggestions based on personal experience. Thanks.

Freeze the rice first
It's not going to be that long term. I go through a 50 Lb bag of rice in about 6 months. Haven't had any issues with spoilage. Right now, I store it in a Rubbermaid tote under my bed that's large enough to fit the entire 50 Lb bag, but it can be a pain in the butt to move around. I'm just going to break it down into a couple buckets that are easier to move and wanted something of decent quality. Shopping online is dicey so thought I would ask here.

I use square cat litter buckets. They stack well and hold a good many mylar bags of different things. People like to give them away, so just check around

Don't forget mylar storage bags and oxygen absorbers.

After that, just buy some quality square buckets.

Or just support the folks at TruPrep. They have all of that stuff.
I'll be honest, I forgot about Uline. And we have an account there through work. Maybe I can slide that by accounting, lol. I was hoping to find gamma lids, so I may have to switch to their 3.5-gallon buckets. Thanks!

TruPrep- bucket and gamma seal lid. done.

you can get them other places as well if you aren't local (Uline actually sells them).

if you want to store it long term, then you want the mylar bags and o2 absorbers, but for normal use, the rice in a bag in the bucket with the gamma lid is an easy way to get in and out of the bucket without much fuss.
