Would you guys school me on building an AK? I've built an AR, and have tools, so I think I can tackle this.

Questions.
1. What tools do you need? Assuming the kits are demilled.
2. Which kits are better?
3. What are the rules on imported kits? If the receiver is US made, does that made the gun US made, or do you still have to have 10 or less imported parts on a US receiver?
4. Any other advice?

Thanks in advance.

your gonna need a lot of tools, like a press. I looked into building an AK, if your going to build 10 of them, then the price for the tools is worth it. building 1 or 2 is not.

Your kit will come with all of the trigger parts but the gun needs 10 or more U.S.A. made parts in it so most of those parts are trash that you get from the get go. And sure a press would be nice but not 100% necessary. The only thing special that you will need is head space gauges for your chosen round with those and if you have most normal tools around the garage and some ingenuity no problem at all.
