Yep, the NEWBIE WINS, my one and only Negative happened the same way, he texted me two different times saying he could meet. I went, he never showed, I left him a NEGATIVE, MOD wouldn't accept or look at the text messages. So I got a NEGATIVE

So, he negative you sent to him didn't stick because it wasn't backed up by private messages within the ODT computer system...
so then how did his negative stick against you ?
Did you confirm through PMs to him that you weren't sure if you had a meeting place and time or not, but you were just gonna take a chance and go out there anyway???

I do prefer a call to clear things up quickly, but sometimes I’m asked to post the arranged meet on pm, easy enough! The flakes are out there, but they’re not worth getting upset over.

My question was a veiled statement as much as it was a question.
I do not care about my deal, I did not drive anywhere, I only walked outside the range to make sure my cell signal was clear.. I will not have my time wasted by this user again but others could benefit from a negative feedback being assigned to the user.
The user was recently added and had no feedback so there is no reason that he would not just create another user if he did get a negative.
We were all new users at one time so I try to give new chance to build their “credit”
One red flag I missed was that he did not answer his phone and replied on text.

if that happens again, I will definitely eject.

I reported a newb on Sunday night, I don't have any guns listed yet he kept messaging me telling me he has cash and wants to buy my gun and he also posted multiple times on a gentleman's post for a 19x that I commented it was coyote tan if you want the user name. He seems like a scammer. I don't think I will do any business with new members anymore. I always give everyone a chance but there's to many newbs that want to get one over on people these days, I sure ain't bringing them to my house and I'm not making an effort to meet them to get stood up.

I think the only time I've ever had a "deal" go sideways was with an established member who turned out to be a fruit loop that wanted to comm only by text. I won't do that anymore, LOL. PMs or buh bye.
