Buying on ODT vs auction or retail $500 becomes $710

I have learned that what seems like a great deal may not be so great. Only took 68 years!!!
If you buy a $500 gun you will add $40 tax and $30 FFL transfer $570. ODT $500 gun you can likely get for $475 period.
Online auction $500 gun the same tax and FFL plus commission $90 plus shipping $50. $710 vs $475.
I just found a great gun online until I did the math. I'll watch for my ODT friends items instead.

FFL fees are ridiculous. Should be a set price of $5 since it’s mandatory government bull****. I used to pay $15 for a transfer at my old spot in Cumming. And if there were multiples on one 4473, it was still just $15 total. Here in Toccoa it’s $25 per and the next option is $50 per. ****ing dumb.
