C&R Pics

1915 Swedish M96. Great shooter, good finish, and the brass catcher makes picking up brass a thing of the past!

I just ordered a K31 from aimsurplus so I'll post a picture of it after I get it!

My Dad's War Trophies.
My father gave me a gift. His War Trophies from Vietnam.

1. Chinese Type 51/54 with original holster and 2 mags
2. Carcano Brescia dtd 1942 with one clip and ammo.
(He was worried back then he would never find ammo, so he put 5 shell in his pocket)
Amazing where this Carcano has been! I guess the VC/NVA took everthing they could get.
He captured both in 1970 and received JAG approval to bring home.
He is not a gun collector, probably owns 5 guns, but these were always tucked away in a closet. They are rough and neglected, but will proudly save a spot for them to pass to my son.
One note: the holster had been altered by my dad so he could wear it concealed; attached to his trouser belt and his jungle fatigues hung over the holster. Amazing the Carcano made it through WWII and ended up in Vietnam.
I also got a really cool NVA flag, I'm still trying to figure out how to best display in the war room.
These are my most treasured guns. I love C&R guns but I'm pleased he in trusted me with them.

sweet, how about a bigger picture?

I had that picture on file - I will pull it out on Friday and take better pics's. He past away last year, so I got his photo album and all his medals and I need some new pics anyway. He knew I wanted the guns, so I'm glad he gave them to me well before he passed.

Sorry to hear about your Dad, but I'm glad you have such great reminders of him.
