If the news media would quit giving these psychos their 15 minutes of glory, they would stop very quickly. However, each time the shooter gets to be the next world famous "three name assassin": We have John Wilkes Booth, Lee Harvey Oswald, Mark David Chapman, James Earl Ray, Jared Lee Loughner and a plethora of others that didn't quite make the three name listings. When will the media quit glorifying these people and their vicious, insane acts of violence? No glory; no copycat!

For the medias benefit, here is an example of what should be printed/reported: Today in Los Angeles a deranged criminal shot a number of innocent citizens. One victim died, three others are being treated in area hospitals. The shooter was terminated when he engaged law enforcement officers. The name of the shooter, his motives and methods withheld to protect society!

I'm betting this will get buried...

A mass-killer with a Muslim-sounding name, who makes a beeline for a gun free zone to rampage in, carrying an antique-style revolver no less. And it happens in a state that is literally owned by the gun control industry.

This is just too embarrassing for words for both the media and the 'progressives'.

There is no way they are going to want this publicized. Any publicity or debate is just going to point out that all of CA crazy gun laws did nothing to stop this. It will rightly bring up the facts about why 'gun free zones' are at the center of all these mass-attacks (all except 2 since Columbine I believe).

They will just add it to the list of mass-killings, and a year from now when they talk about the 'Santa Monica' attack the only thing people will be reminded of is that the killer used an AR-15.

With the Zimmerman trial coming up, I'm sure the media is saving it's ammo for the attack on concealed carry rights. No matter how it comes out, expect to see the right to self-defence turned into vigilantism across the board.
