Calling All SKS Collectors!!!!!!!

I knew it then, and know it now but was young and broke and found something else I had to have. Sadly I don't remember what i traded it for.
Your comment reminds me of my long lost Century L1A1 and Inland M1 Carbine. I still miss those.
As Bubba from Sanford and Son once said " I want my daddy's records."

So how much is a cast one worth? I don't know much at all about these. Never had one. Never had a desire until last few years. And that's only because I have some ammo. I really want a good none clip fed bolt action, I think. Wouldn't turn down a good sks all matching with a bayonet

I've always liked the SKS platform, but why people would assign value to a cast version, I'm not so sure. For me, a big part of the appeal is that machined steel.
Because of all the manufacturing receiver variances in Chinese production the cast receiver was the least produced and even more rare that the stamped receivers. To a collector that’s always trying to find another one to add to the collection, it’s like the prize egg at Easter.

5 or 6 years ago it was about a $200 to $300 premium over a forged SKS in the same condition. A numbers matching never fired forged Chinese SKS in the real world today is $500 or so. So, $700 to $800 is probably about right.

Thanks for the info😍

Traded it back to the original owner for a shooter grade, numbers matching SKS. The fair and right thing to do, so all is well.
