Camping in RV

Also, if you're in an RV, are you really "camping?"

I bought an RV to be able to travel further, longer and for cheaper than airbnb's and hotels. I'm under no illusion that I'm "camping."
My idea of "roughing it" is when room service is late.
When I get itchy feet I want to travel as comfortably as possible. I'm too old and decrepit to be sleeping on a rock.
I've been looking into the Starlink mobile thing and that seems like a viable and dependable option...at least for now.

I used to know somebody. He and his brother would go down to the lake, get drunk and pass out on a rock.......Rough life for sure. They both died in thier early 60s

As mentioned, Starlink Mini portable.
I think you need an unobstructed view for the starlink to work well. Just watched a vid where they went with a cell phone booster and ditched the star link. I'm not experienced with either. Camp fire and a glass of scotch or bourbon works for me. Search you tube vids for answers

The thing with Starlink is that you have to set up gear every time you put down...and, it's not usable while in transit. I have a 5g wireless router that has a SIM card in it. Truly unlimited data. It's about the size of a tray of small pistol primers and it works while we are traveling. I've taken it to the OBX, Maine, Key West, and the Dakotas. Never been anywhere I didn't have signal. It plugs into the cigarette lighter and stays on the dash. And when we aren't in the RV, it functions as my home ISP. Super convenient and easy.

Neat. I'll check it out.

Did they get eaten by an alligator?
No gators in those woods. They also lived on thier sister's back screened in porch. I don't remember how one died, the younger brother. But the other died of a massive heart attack. They were both substance abusers. Sad, hard life. The older one, I knew since I was kid. Always treated me alright.

I too have one of these Netgear 5G hotspots and a Mint Mobile 5G data plan.
